Wellesley College Hillel engages Jewish students in meaningful programming and has a rich connection to the campus community, Jewish faculty and staff, as well as the greater Boston Jewish community. Jewish students will find a pluralistic and supportive environment that will give them the opportunity to connect to Judaism through learning, multi-faith offerings, holiday celebrations and lectures with faculty and staff. Hillel is active on campus in providing social justice opportunities that bring students from diverse cultural backgrounds together to explore their heritages and faith traditions. Jewish students have close ties with the Wellesley Jewish Alumnae and program together throughout the year. Wellesley College Hillel brings students together from other campuses for social events, leadership training and services. Students also have the advantage of being in close proximity to many of the larger Hillel organizations and often attend programming and services with our local Jewish community as well as with Brandeis, MIT, and Harvard. Wellesley students take courses at MIT, Brandeis, Babson, and Olin Colleges and can access a campus bus for other social activities on those campuses. Wellesley College Hillel is a part of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, rounding out our programming with opportunities for students to participate in faith-based dialogue groups, and the Multifaith Student Council; a pro-active and advocacy group for students from various religious traditions. We also offer community service based programming with other campus departments and have sponsored interfaith service trips abroad. Wellesley Hillel is seen as an integral part of the campus community and all are welcome.
