Our two floor building is just one block from campus and students use the space on a daily basis coming to hangout or study. Downstairs we have a game room, as well as the chapter rooms for both Alpha Epsilon Pi and Alpha Epsilon Phi, a Jewish fraternity and sorority. Additionally, downstairs is used as a practice room for our students who have formed a band, Citrus Sunday. Upstairs, we have a sanctuary, a library, a lounge, a dining area, as well as a kosher kitchen. Shabbat dinner is our largest weekly event, but we put on various socials, Tikkun Olam volunteering events, Jewish learning opportunities, and general programming to keep students engaged year-round. Additionally, we offer a summer and winter Birthright trip with Iowa Hillel. Students have the opportunity for leadership through being a member of the student board or joining one of our committees: Shabbat Squad, Challah for Hunger, or Hillel Beautification. Iowa Hillel is a very pluralistic and welcoming community, and we hope you join the Hillel Hawkeye Family!
