We have a Va'ad supervised kosher kitchen. All Shabbat and holidays meals are prepared under this supervision.
During the academic year, Hillel has weekly Friday night Shabbat dinners. On some three-day weekends, we offer "Shabbat to-go" packages, and students pick up challah, grape juice, candles and a Shabbat thought and have dinner together with their friends in their dorms, houses and apartments. The second Friday of every month is also a Jconnect (our program for graduate students and young adults in their 20's and 30's) Shabbat. The program is called re:connect - a musical Shabbat experience, and other weeks Jconnectors can avail themselves of other young adult Shabbat programming in the city with other synagogues and young adult groups or with OneTable.
Frequency: Friday night only
Our Hillel employs a part-time counselor who is available to meet with students 1:1 in person ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ or via telehealth. She serves as a resource for our quarterly "Matzah Ball Soup for the Soul" programs and supports our staff and students for all of our unique Wellness programming. We also have a weekly Wellness Walk with our ED.

The Berol-Shindell Scholarship provides partial tuition scholarships to Jewish students in financial need who are currently attending or entering the University of Washington. Scholarship amounts vary depending upon the available funds for distribution and the financial needs of those applying.Application period March-May
